If your goal is to learn and to understand the most relevant things, you can't shy away from what is most frequently said, diminishing and dismissing it as "trite" or "a truism" or "cliche." The common is interesting—not uninteresting—because it is common.

Things took a big hit in Jan/Feb (Thailand) and Nov/Dec (moving), so I really only produced over 2/3 of 2013. Given that, these numbers are very acceptable.
