Chunky celery soup

Tonight I made this chunky celery soup recipe, with celery leaf pesto drizzled on top.  It was quite good (especially after adding a few shakes of cayenne pepper hot sauce).

The Perfect Christmas Gift

The three Master Li books by Barry Hughart are available once again, in a new omnibus edition. Do yourself and your friends and family a huge favor and buy yourself (and them) a copy NOW. The first in the series, Bridge of Birds (a World Fantasy Award winner), is the only book that has ever prompted me to write a fan letter to the author (who sent me a very nice reply). You will love this book.
